Amanda Dew Manning grows and cooks elegant, tasty food.  She passionately shares her knowledge and love of cooking through education—combining spectacular sensory experiences while stirring stories of food culture and pleasures of the table.

Amanda is the former Director of Whole Foods Market’s Salud! Cooking School in Charlotte and is currently a Garden Chef at the Atlanta Botanical Garden. She teaches cooking classes at various other locations throughout the Atlanta area and for private events.

She served two terms on the National Board of Directors of the American Institute of Wine and Food (AIWF) founded by Robert Mondavi and Julia Child, and is currently a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier and the International Association of Culinary Professionals.

Amanda’s visit includes a demo and tasting of:

Apple-Cranberry Farro Salad with Garden Kale and Sweet Orange Vinaigrette

Amanda says, “The salad is “hearty” because of the farro and the number of other ingredients, and will be filling.  It includes several seasonal items as we discussed.  I can make enough so that each person has a nice size serving.  Everyone loves this dish—the Farro (ancient grain) is new to most people so that is always fun for people.”
