In addition to the infamous apple that Eve presented Adam, the Christian Bible references well over 130 different plants, many of which we still know today. In presentations known for being humorously entertaining as well as educational, Dr. Bez talks about creation care and bible plants (how to grow and propagate them) at schools, churches, civic clubs, synagogues, garden clubs, etc.

Currently President of the International Biblical Botanical Garden Society, and minister at The Church at Covington, in Oxford, Georgia, Dr. Bez has been an enthusiastic avocational biblical botanist for 25 years. He holds advanced degrees in Systematic Theology and earned his Biblical Botanical Gardening Certification while serving on the botanical staff at the second largest biblical botanical park in Israel, in 2011. In addition, he is a Rockdale County Master Gardener and an Avocational Archaeologist, having gone on digs in the Middle East for 20 years.

GCMGA meets on the third Monday of each month at The Bethesda Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044. Presentations are open to the public at no charge – visitors are welcome to bring a covered dish and join club members for dinner at 6:30, or to arrive in time for the program at 7 p.m. For more information and updates, please visit www.gwinnettmastergardeners.com.
