Gwinnett County Master Gardeners Meeting – “Through the Lens”: Annual Photo Contest Awards

Seeing the world through the eyes of a nature lover can be a magical experience, and GCMGA’s much-anticipated annual photography contest never fails to delight. In the July presentation, Gwinnett Master Gardeners share their outdoor adventures as gardeners, naturalists and artists, through photos that journal their journeys in 2018. Eric Bowles will be the contest judge presenting entries, discussing winning techniques, then announcing category winners. Mr. Bowles Eric is an Atlanta-based nature photographer specializing in the Southeastern United States. His work has been published in magazines, newspapers and commercial publications, and he is on the Board of NANPA (North American Nature Photography Association and a past Board member of GNPA (Georgia Nature Photography Association).

Mr. Bowles’ informative and encouraging insights offer tips for improving personal photos using smart phones as well as professional equipment, and the compositions submitted by members inspire a greater appreciation of Nature, and an evening of delight and beauty.

The Gwinnett County Master Gardeners’ Association (GCMGA) is hosting this presentation at the Bethesda Senior Center, 225 Bethesda Church Road, Lawrenceville, GA 30044.
