Rabia Vaughns is a physician assistant who specializes in functional medicine, a unique approach to chronic illness. If functional medicine providers ask how and why illness occurs and restore health by addressing the root causes of disease for each individual. This is in contrast to the conventional approach to chronic disease: a pill for every ill.
Rabia was a member of the 2017 Gwinnett master gardener training class and during her training she noticed the incredible correlations between how master gardeners approach problems in plants and how functional medicine providers approach illness in patients.
Rabia will share her insights on how applying the master gardeners approach for prevention and treatment of plant problems to your body can lead the way to a healthy and flourishing inner garden!
We’re also happy to announce the addition of the highly recommended Lenka Taylor. Lenka will join us to chat and demonstrate massage therapy techniques we can use to ease stressed muscles and tightness after working in the garden. See you there!
