Annual Spring Plant Sale –Thursday, Friday, and Saturday-April 25th–April 27th 10A-7P Thursday and Friday; 10A-2P Saturday

Plant Drop Off Days: April 22nd and April 23rd

PLEASE NOTE:  A film crew will be using the parking area behind the Community Center on Wednesday, April 24th.  If you’re coming to the cottage, please look for parking at city hall or behind Paisanos.   As far as we know, College Street will be open.

v ***If you are digging your own plants-All plants brought to the cottage for the sale must be potted in #1 black plastic pots, clean of any dead leaves, and LABELED. Make a list of the plants you have dug for the sale—include the name and quantity of each plant. Send to Kathy (kesumner@att.net)  If you have pictures of your plants, please make a few copies that can be used at the sale. Contact Kathy S if you have any questions.

v  Soil is available at Dorothy Archer’s driveway, 60 Buchanan St. It is on the right side, under a tarp. Please use only for potting for the plant sale and bring your own bucket or container to fill.

v  Houseplants are welcome for the plant sale. Please don’t purchase expensive plants to donate to the sale. If you don’t have any plants to contribute, consider making a monetary donation that will be used to offset the costs of the sale.

v We need 1 quart or larger terracotta pots for replanting house plants. They can be left at the cottage outside the College Street door at any time. Please do not leave any plastic nursery pots or any other plastic pots of assorted sizes and colors. We only use the #1 black nursery pots.

Garden Treasures-Please look around your homes/gardens for items to donate to “Garden Treasures” that we will feature at the Plant Sale. Items should be in good condition and related to gardening—decorative pots, tools, accessories, etc. At the end of the sale, all remaining items will be donated. If you want your items returned, please label them with your name and plan to pick up the items from the cottage on Monday, April 29th.

v NEW: We will have ceramic plant stakes and bird baths for sale. The artist is donating the items, and all proceeds will go to the club.

v Please bring boxes for customers to carry and transport their plants from the sale. If you shop at Costco or Aldi, these types work well. Drop them off April 22-23.

v Spread the Word! Our members are our best marketing tool! Please tell your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers about the sale. A flyer is attached. Post on your social media too!
