This Week in the Garden – Vol 153
May 28, 2025
We’re Celebrating National Garden Club Week June 1st – June 7th
There are four opportunities to gather and celebrate National Garden Club Week! All are invited to attend as many of the activities that can fit your schedule.
Please note that two events require a response, so please acknowledge if you can attend. Please join us for the following activities:
6:30 pm – Sunday, June 1st at Adam’s Vineyard in Norcross
Kick off the week in the Adam’s Vineyard Neighborhood, home of member Lynn Waggoner Address: 5419 Vineyard Park Trail, Norcross
Park on the right side of the street along the fire pit. Please don’t park in grass to avoid damaging sprinkler heads.
Bring a chair, food to share, and a personal drink. You’re also welcome to bring drinks to share.
Let’s create memories together around the firepit and learn about the muscadine vines in this unique neighborhood vineyard.
10:00 am – Monday, June 2nd at Norcross City Hall
Member Gail Thompson will lead us in creating a beautiful floral arrangement in Norcross City Hall. Meet in the main open area as you enter the door.
The arrangement will be on display throughout the week in City Hall publicizing National Garden Week. Bring conditioned flowers which can be purchased from your local grocery i.e. Trader Joe’s or from your garden. Note: Trader Joe’s is open until 9 pm on Sunday. The perfect time to shop may be following the Adam’s Vineyard’s event. Additional note: With the recent rains, flowers from our gardens may be beaten down and not last for a week in a floral arrangement. Carefully select flowers if you’re bringing them from the garden. Here are photos from past events:
