January Meeting
Join Us for A Unique and Inspiring Presentation by Edward the Arborist Edward Morrow is an ISA-certified (International Society of Arboriculture) arborist (https://edwardthearborist.com/) with more than a decade of experience helping individuals, communities, and businesses understand the vital role trees play in healthy ecosystems. He regularly speaks to national audiences and professional organizations, including the ISA and the Georgia Arborist Association, and has collaborated with universities such as the University of Tennessee, the University of Georgia, the University of Massachusetts Amherst, and UC Berkeley Tech to advance sustainable urban forestry education. Arboriculture Meets Imagination: Lessons from the Tree S.T.A.R.S. Series Edward is also the creator of Tree S.T.A.R.S., a series of stories and novels designed to raise awareness, educate, and inspire future generations of tree stewards. Through colorful illustrations and memorable characters, the series introduces tree-care fundamentals, featuring superheroes who model best practices in plant health care, pruning, safe equipment use, ropework, and—when necessary—responsible tree removal. Edward believes that trees are dynamic beings deeply connected to our environmental, economic, and personal well-being. As a dedicated arborist, he is committed to educating communities about the essential role that trees play in a healthy society. At our January meeting, he’ll share key tree-care fundamentals with us and will have copies of his books available for those interested in exploring the Tree S.T.A.R.S. series further.
