Tuesday, November 14th Day Meeting at the Cottage

“Bees, Teas, and Honey” presented by Katie Hendrickson of Dunwoody Nature Center.

Katie is a Master Gardener, Master Naturalist, Herbalist and Beekeeper. https://dunwoodynature.org/ Katie will share some delicious herbal tea with us, and we will sample honey from her bees!  All are welcome!  Invite a friend to enjoy this great program with you.

Please bring to the meeting:

  • Your favorite mug for tea
  • plastic grocery bags for the Neighborhood Cooperative Ministry. They always need bags for packaging food for the clients.
  • can pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
  • cash for raffle tickets

Please sign up at the meeting if you will be attending the Holiday Party on December 12th.  There will be a signup sheet at the welcome table. The volunteer signup sheet will also be on the table.

It’s time to decorate the cottage for the holidays. All are welcome to stay after the meeting to help. 


Monday, November 13th Fulton Federation of Garden Clubs Meeting

Refreshments: 10:15 AM; Meeting: 10:30 AM

Location: Northside Drive Baptist Church, 3100 Northside Dr. NW, Atlanta, GA 30305

Go in the sanctuary door, turn right, and take elevator to lower level. (same room as September meeting)

Program: “Knockout Floral Bouquets” by Amanda Rogers. Get ready to enter and critique the ABG (Atlanta Botanical Garden) flower show February 23-25.

All club members are welcome to attend the Fulton Federation meetings. Please wear your club’s name badge. Bring some cash for the raffle and Penny Pines.

Dogwood District Awards

Please let Kathy Sumner know if you can help with the Awards write-ups.  The process is streamlined compared to previous years.  Award submissions are due by December 1st. Our club qualifies for several awards, but we must submit the applications to be considered.


Annual Dues Payment

Dues for 2024-25 must be paid by January 15, 2024. Dues are $60 per member. Two household members may hold membership for a single payment of $70.

You may pay your membership dues at the meeting by cash, check, debit or credit card. Or mail a check payable to Norcross Garden Club to PO Box 576, Norcross GA 30091.


Cottage Garden Care

We encourage members to stop by anytime it’s convenient for weeding in our garden. Bring a friend or family member with you to pick up debris and pull a few weeds!  If you have any questions, please text Pam Cammarata (770-314-9541).


Dogwood District Holiday Fundraiser for Garden Club of Georgia Scholarship Program

Dogwood District is raising funds for the Garden Club of Georgia Scholarship initiative through The Amaryllis Bulb and the Holiday Wreath Fundraiser.  Dogwood District encourages all garden club members to consider purchasing bulbs or wreaths in support of this fundraiser.  A wonderful opportunity to get a jump start on your Holiday shopping!  And don’t forget to treat yourself, too.  Please share the links with family and friends who may want to purchase a Holiday wreath or beautiful Amaryllis bulbs!
