Digs will begin in March. Start thinking about what plants can be dug from your garden or from a neighbor or friend’s garden. Members are encouraged to dig from their own gardens. If you need help, let us know as soon as possible. If you are able to dig plants, pot plants or label, there will be several opportunities at larger digs where we will need your help. There will be lists at the February meeting for you to indicate your interest. This is our major fundraiser event of the year. All hands are needed to make this a success. Please consider blocking time on your calendars for the week before and the days before the sale to help with preparation and setup.

Sustainability Tip of the Month-Norcross Tree Preservation
The City of Norcross has proudly held the title of Certified Tree City for 20 years.
Since 2011, Norcross has been committed to its “No Net Loss of Trees” policy, ensuring that the tree canopy stays lush and vibrant. The goal is simple, replace any trees removed on government property to keep the green cover intact. And if it’s not possible to replant on the same site, the city makes sure to
plant trees elsewhere, like in parks or public spaces, to preserve that vital tree canopy. Take a nature walk in Johnson Dean Forest located at 145 N. Barton Street and enjoy the trees, plants and birds. This article has interesting facts about the forest. https://www.oldgrowthforest.net/ga-johnsondean-forest
