Plant Digs Update

Thank you to Kathy and Paul Sumner for hosting a dig in their garden last Thursday. 180 plus plants were potted with the help of Beth Bahel, Dolores Stewart, Gail Thompson, Susan Welch, Joy Penland, Debbie Boyd, Nancy O’Reilly, and Ann Beach. Ann brought fresh baked bread that helped energize the digging. It was a wonderful day in the garden.

GWC Capitol Conservation Days Are Back! Three in-person lobby days are available

This year, the Georgia Water Coalition is returning to in-person lobbying for our annual Capitol Conservation Day. But it is going to look a little bit different as they endeavor to do this safely and keep the number of attendees at a manageable level. Choose from 1 of 3 in-person lobby days: Monday, 3/14, Thursday, 3/31, or Saturday 4/2, from 8am-12:30.

Click here to register to attend an in-person lobby day.  After registering, you will receive an email containing information about how to prepare for the in-person lobbying days.

When you register, you will select one of the three dates for in-person lobbying from 8 am to 12:30 pm. Attendees will meet at the Central Presbyterian Church for a light breakfast and orientation, before heading into the Capitol to talk about important environmental issues with our legislators. It is an interesting and educational experience.  Please consider attending on behalf of Norcross Garden Club and to support the Georgia Water Coalition and the water conservation issues. If you cannot make it to the Capitol, then please contact your State Senator and House Representative to express your views on the issues.
