Welcome to National Garden Week June 4-10! Join in the celebration by participating in any or all of our planned activities.

Tuesday, June 6th 9:30AM Garden Tour-Eva Kuhn’s Duluth Cottage Kitchen Garden

Eva has transformed a side lot into an edible garden with berries, tomatoes, and a variety of unusual vegetables. Please join us as she gives us a tour of her garden. Due to limited parking, we will need to carpool. Two options for carpools 1) Meet at Cottage at 8:15 or 2) Meet at Maple Street Biscuits in Duluth at 8:30. Please RSVP if you are attending with your carpool option by texting Gena Spears at 404-550-0217.  We recommend wearing long pants and old sneakers for the garden tour.  If Eva offers her jams or produce for sale, please bring cash if you are interested in making a purchase.


Thursday, June 8th 4p-6p Make Flower arrangements for Meals on Wheels Clients

Join us at the cottage to make flower arrangements for the Meals on Wheels clients. Please bring flowers from your garden or the grocery store and your snippers and a big smile!  We also need jars or vases suitable for small arrangements. Please RSVP to Kathy Sumner by texting 678.357.8684.

Next Cottage Care Date is Monday, June 5th, 4p-6p.

 If you can’t make it to a specific care day, you are most welcome to stop by anytime it’s convenient for you. Bring a friend or family member with you to pick up debris and pull a few weeds!  If you have any questions, please text Pam Cammarata (770-314-9541).

Norcross Garden Club Awards from Fulton Federation of Garden Clubs

Our club was presented with the following awards at the recent Fulton Federation Awards Luncheon and Meeting. Trudy Rudert is the President of Fulton Federation and NGC hosted the event.  The attendees were very complimentary of our club. Many thanks to all who participated in the meeting.

Norcross Community Market is now Farm Fresh Days-May 10 to Sept 6

Farm Fresh Days are every Wednesday, 4p-7p in Thrasher Park from May 10th through September 6th.

Pearson Farms is there with peaches, strawberries and pecans! For updates and more information, check out:  www.aplacetoimagine.com

Sustainable Norcross will be there to collect hard-to-recycle materials, such as natural wine corks, plastic bags, tennis shoes, empty medicine bottles and more! Drop by their table for more information.  Live music and kid activities will also be featured.

Great Southeast Pollinator Census August 18-19, 2023

The Great Southeast Pollinator Census is a citizen science project created by the University of Georgia.  This project is designed for everyone to participate and make a difference for pollinator conservation.

Summer Activities in Norcross

LionHeart is offering a youth drama camp and featuring a Kids Summer show. https://lionhearttheatre.org/

The Norcross Gallery and Studios offers workshops and have studio spaces for rent. The Gallery is open Thursday-Saturday 11am-4:00pm to view works and exhibits by local artists.
