Great Southeast Pollinator Census August 23-24
All citizens are invited to participate in the Great Southeast Pollinator Census. Check out this website for more information: https://gsepc.org/. Please invite family, friends and neighbors to join the count!
Norcross Garden Club is participating in two community events for the Pollinator Census. See below for details.
Pollinator Count at Stripling Elementary School-Friday August 23, 12:30pm to 2:15pm

PLEASE HELP! We need 10 volunteers to assist with the Pollinator Count at Stripling Elementary School (6155 Atlantic Boulevard, Norcross 30071)

There will be three sessions at Stripling on Friday, August 23rd.
- 12:45-1:10 pm, 1:15-1:40 pm, and 1:45-2:15 pm.
- For each session, students will be divided into groups of 5-7. Each group will go to a different pollinator plant/bed in the school garden. Volunteers will assist the group in counting the number of pollinators that land on the plants for a 15-minute time period. They will tally what they see. That’s it!

We are hoping for great weather! Water will be available outside and there is lots of shade under the Crepe Myrtle.
Free workshop for Kids Who Count-Great Southeast Pollinator Census
Saturday, August 24 11am-Noon at Discovery Garden Park.
ALL citizens (young and old) are welcome to participate in the count.
We need Garden Club members to volunteer for this event! Please respond to this email if you are able to help at Discovery Garden Park.
We hope that everyone can join one of our events or record a count at their own home or both!
