Cottage Garden Care Team
No workdays are planned for January. All members and friends are welcome to stop by anytime to pull weeds, pick up debris, trim as needed, etc. You can also stop by our Plot 3 at Discovery Garden. It takes many hands to keep our garden looking good. Grab a friend and spend a little time outdoors while tending to our garden! Contact Pam Cammarata if you have questions or need more information.

Saturday, January 29th National Seed Swap Day
Duluth Library (3180 Main Street, Duluth) is holding a Seed Swap, Saturday, January 29th from11am-12 noon. Stop by to meet fellow gardeners and swap seeds. Pick up something new for your garden and share extra seeds that you have. Stop by our Cottage and pick up seeds shared by Jeanne Davis and Dolores Stewart and other members. (Flyer attached)
The Garden Club of Georgia January 2022 Update features a list of popular online seed companies. The Update also includes a “save the dates” list of upcoming meetings and events. (See attached)

Around the community
The Norcross Community Market's Online shop is currently closed. The Community Market will reopen with in person shopping in May at Thrasher Park.
Norcross curbside recycling has been suspended for two weeks due to labor shortages at Waste Management. The city has placed temporary drop off containers for recyclables at City Hall on Lawrenceville Street and Public Works on Lively Avenue. These containers are only for paper, cartons, flattened cardboard, empty plastic bottles, plastic jugs, and metal cans. Please no trash, bagged material, or plastic bags.
First Friday Concerts at the Norcross Community Center, 7p-9p. Seating is limited, first come, first served. Doors open at 6p. Bring your own food and beverages.
Movie Mondays, every 2nd and 4th Monday at 1:30p and 6:30p at the Norcross Community Center. Light refreshments are served. See city website for more information.
