Benjamin Franklin said “An investment in knowledge pays the best interest”. Learning new and exciting skills, acquiring knowledge from any source, and meeting the fabulous people willing to share their knowledge and skills and stories is what the Norcross Garden Club members hope to offer each and every person encountered. In October we had the pleasure of hosting Amanda Dew Manning the current Garden Chef of the Atlanta Botanical Garden.

Amanda shared personal stories of growing up eating healthy and wholesome food to meeting Julia Child. On top of that she prepared for the attending members and guests a tasty Apple-Cranberry Farro Salad.

Members were treated to Amanda’s tips and tricks about knives and cutting boards. She shared her places to acquire some great kitchen gadgets. One of her favorites for cutting boards is Sur La Table.
