This week in the garden – vol. 10

It’s not too late. We will have a happy celebration and delicious light dinner at the home of Joanne Russell. It will include a brief meeting, light dinner- hope to see you there.. There is a gate code needed to enter the neighborhood so please rsvp to Jenny.

May 27th Thursday 9-11 Cottage Garden Work Day.  The bucket brigade is postponed but our garden needs some TLC. If you can’t make it – there is a list of needs in the metal drawer that can be worked on whenever you are available.

PLANT SHARE TIME IS HERE  at Carol MacGregor’s house. From Carol: TODAY  and continuing until I move from Peachtree Corners. COME and DIG or take plants that you didn’t find at the garden club’s plant sale! Dress appropriately for a back yard! Tools and pots on hand for:  rhodea (sacred lily), white butterfly ginger,  spiderwort (white flowers), variegated hostas,   ferns,  wildflowers (mayapple, trillium cuneatum) St. John’s wort,  foam flowers, bears breech….Some perennial plants already in pots that need nurturing are available to ADOPT ---- as well as TOOLS, gardening SUPPLIES,  bird feeders,  squirrel traps,  & other equipment useful to gardeners  -------  Children are welcome too.   This is NOT A SALE   ----    any  $$ donations will help Norcross Garden Club assist Neighborhood Cooperative Ministry’s summer ‘back to school’ efforts. June 7th – 12th  National Garden Week

Monday June 7th.  At 10am Bring flowers from your garden to  help make an arrangement for Norcross City Hall. We will use the extras at the cottage at 11 for Peachtree Corners, Berkeley Lake ,and Duluth City Halls.

June 10th Field Trip to UGA Founder’s Garden in Athens at 11am for a tour with boxed lunch in the garden- more information to be sent soon.
