This is a two-day workshop. The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) has partnered with USDA to provide educational opportunities to communities and connect them to local community gardens, farms and promote superfoods. Participants learn proven strategies that community organizers use to develop dynamic leaders and create strong communities through a participatory approach. Tuesday, May 10th The Fulton Federation of Garden Clubs Awards at Bellmere Garden House. Registration begins at 10:30, meeting and program at 11:00, luncheon 12:30-2:00.
Plant Digs
So many wonderful plants were dug and potted at the home of Loudell and Dennis Printz’s garden in Sandy Springs. Nancy O’Reilly treated members to lunch she had so thoughtfully prepared. Thank you, Nancy! Participants included, left to right: Leanne Penman, Kathy Sumner, Gail Thompson, Nancy O’Reilly, Cathy Nelmes, Dorothy Archer, and Diane Reese. Simultaneously, in the garden of Betsy and Ken Hixson, Susan Bell and Chelsea Youmans were digging Ostrich fern. It was a fabulous day to be in the garden. We hope everyone has had an opportunity to enjoy the great outdoors these past few days
Cottage Renovation
WOW! Thanks to a lot of amazing people the cottage renovation is practically complete in record time for the plant sale! We are very excited to start rentals and meetings again beginning in May. Please promote our cottage for rentals- $250 for 5 hours. It’s a deal and a treasure!
So many people to thank for the kitchen reno project. We will start with our members who donated a lot of time and gifts:

Sue Wyatt (treasurer and tracks all expenditures to keep us straight!).
Many donations and discounts were given by contractors for the kitchen reno. Please consider using and promoting these vendors:

Cabinetry UNI ONE GA 770-416-9300 - donated all the beautiful cabinets along with the gorgeous farmhouse sink. They are also making a covering for the fuse box. They retrofitted the cabinets to fit our old pipes and hot water heater.
