October 10th Day Meeting at the Cottage-It’s Not Too Late to Respond

“Farm in the Corners,” Local produce with a Mission presented by Joe Turner, Peachtree Farm.https://www.peachtreefarm.org/   The mission of Peachtree Farm is to produce locally grown produce for the metro Atlanta and North Georgia area while providing job opportunities for individuals with disabilities.

Don’t Forget--Please bring to the meeting:

  • plastic grocery bags for the Neighborhood Cooperative Ministry. They always need bags for packaging food for the clients.
  • can pull tabs for Ronald McDonald House.
  •   glass jars to be used as flower vases for Meals on Wheels clients.

Meals on Wheels Flower Arranging- Tuesday October 10th 12-2 pm

We will make the flower arrangements after our meeting. All are welcome to help. If you can stay to help, please bring snips and a smile! Don’t forget to bring glass jars!


Norcross Discovery Garden Park Presents Seed Swap Saturday, October 14th 9am

at Discovery Garden Park

Celebrate the beginning of the Fall growing season. Come share, swap and ask a master gardener.

Gather & meet neighbors, share gardening tips & tricks, seedling raffle, and learn.

BRING SEEDS TO PARTICIPATE IN SWAP, HARVESTED OR COMMERCIAL.

Dress for the outdoors.


Dogwood District 65th Annual Meeting-Wednesday October 25, Dunwoody Country Club

All members are welcome to attend the meeting.  The cost is $43 for registration and luncheon. The club will pay for a portion of the cost.  The amount depends on how many members want to attend. Please let Kathy Sumner know if you wish to attend so we can arrange carpools. (678.357.8684)

Registration deadline is October 11th. See attached registration form. Contact Trudy Rudert if you have any registration questions.  (404.713.6934). Registration forms will also be available at our October 10th meeting. All registration forms will be collected at our meeting.  If you’re planning to attend the Dogwood District meeting but are unable to attend our October 10th meeting, please let Kathy or Trudy know your intent.

We encourage members to stop by anytime it’s convenient for weeding in our garden. Bring a friend or family member with you to pick up debris and pull a few weeds!  If you have any questions, please text Pam Cammarata (770-314-9541).
