Plant Dig at the Cottage-Thursday, January 26th 11a-2p

Help is needed to dig and pot plants from the cottage garden for our April Plant Sale.  Also looking for volunteers to take plants home to care for them until the Plant Sale. Membership Dues are DUE by February 15th!

Dues are $60 per member. Two household members may hold membership for a single payment of $70. Please contact Debbie Boyd by February 15th, of your membership intention. Your name will be removed from our club roster and the state membership roster if we do not hear from you by February 15th. If you have questions about membership or renewal payments, please contact Debbie. (Debbie.boyd@comcast.net).  Prompt response and payment are appreciated.

Payment Options:

  • Mail check to Norcross Garden Club, PO Box 576, Norcross GA 30091.
  • Drop off your payment at the cottage. Leave payment in the Treasurer’s folder, located in the hanging file on the wall in the kitchen. Email Sue Wyatt if you drop your payment at the cottage or if you mail it. (suezq50@aol.com)
  • PayPal payment option: Visit our website to pay your dues online via your PayPal account. On the website, choose "Contact Us" Scroll down to Membership, Select Single or Couple, then click on Buy Now to get the paypal link.
  • Cash, Check, Credit or Debit card payments can be made at the February meeting. If you cannot attend the meeting and wish to pay with a card, text Jeanette Shewbert (770.329.1411).

Cottage Rentals

Please note we have cottage rentals on February 4th and March 18th.  Whenever there is a rental booked for the cottage, there will be cards that say: “Cottage is Rental Ready” placed in the cottage.  This is a reminder that cottage has been cleaned.  Please be respectful and keep it clean.

Join author and educator Andrea Zoppo (Follow Ladybug), fondly known as Ms. Ladybug, for a fun-filled time learning about our pollinator friends and what happens to them and other crawlies during a storm! With her new book Storm Bugs, Ms. Ladybug will guide you through the story with puppets, sound effects, and interactive play. Come find out what happens during a storm, you might be quite surprised! American Daffodil Society’s Flower Show March 10-11, 2023

The American Daffodil Society and the Redbud District of The Garden Club of Georgia (GCG), Inc., are presenting a National Garden Club Standard Flower Show Friday, March 10 and Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the Crowne Plaza Perimeter Ravinia Hotel; 4355 Ashford Dunwoody Road; Atlanta, GA 30346.  The flower show is free and open to the public (the hotel does have parking fees). The show hours are 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on Friday, March 10, and from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11.  This is a unique opportunity to see a MAJOR flower society’s show! Garden Magic on the Mountain, GCG’s 95th Annual Convention April 18-20, 2023

At Evergreen Lakeside Conference Resort, Stone Mountain, GA

The Dogwood District, which is our club’s district, is hosting the Convention. This is a great opportunity to network with garden enthusiasts from across the state.  No travel costs as the Convention is right here in Stone Mountain.  There are several choices for participation, so you don’t have to commit to more than your schedule allows. Cost varies depending on how many days you wish to attend.  The Garden Club of Georgia’s (GCG) website has been updated and has a new link: https://gardenclubofgeorgia.org/ There is a 2023 GGG Convention Registration Form registration form for the convention.  There will be an online registration option in February. Attached is the tentative schedule and speaker information. Hotel reservation information is also attached if you plan to stay at the hotel.

UGA Extension Gwinnett Annual Fundraiser Pre-Order Plant Sale!

All proceeds go to help 4-H and Agriculture and Natural Resources (ANR) programs. Order now through Friday, March 3rd, then pick up your order at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds on Thursday, March 16th between 9am and 5:45pm. UGA Extension Fundraiser and plant list is attached.
